Empowered Purpose

The purpose of the Walk for Life is to give empowerment to express our own emotional survival and support in a mental and physical way, while giving a platform and power to our mission.We will celebrate all of the young lives that have been lost too soon to depression, suicide, and gun violence as these are some of the top causes of death today.

Our Mission

To build a platform for mental health awareness in adolescents and adults by creating the safe place needed to heal, survive, and continue life through grief and trauma
To support education in the field of Journalism & Communications and Sports Broadcasting & Entertainment through scholarships, grants, and internships

This signature 5K Walk/Run and Fundraiser supporting the EVECE Foundation will host a day of outdoor entertainment, music, art, health and wellness, food, and family fun.EVECE (pronounced eh-va-see) is the acronym for Erin Victoria Edwards and Christopher Edwards. The EVECE Foundation was established in 2020 to honor the late Christopher Redding Edwards II and Erin Victoria Edwards; two young, vibrant, exemplary lives who were taken much too soon.The purpose of our Walk for Life event is to remember, celebrate, and share the lives of Chris and Erin; who they were, all they loved, the exemplary ways in which they lived their lives, the contributions they made to the world, and the gifts they left behind. But we will not stop there.
